Interconnect Bodyworks LLC is now Rebalance MLD & Massage!

Hello! This is Soo G. Son, LMT, CLT with Rebalance MLD & Massage, formerly Interconnect Bodyworks LLC (You’ll still see this name on invoices and other things as Rebalance MLD & Massage is still a part of it). For those new to my business, I’m a licensed massage therapist and certified lymphedema therapist with a practice in Tigard, OR.; OR Lic. 21407.

So why the name change?

The focus of my business is changing to pain and inflammation managment. I will still offer all of the services I have before which include manual lymph drainage, prenatal/postpartum massage, relaxation and deep tissue based sessions. So don’t worry if that’s your jam and season of life you’re in. I have been working hard and studying up to be more medically knowledgeable to better serve my clients, who I’m so grateful for as I wouldn’t exist without you.

Move and Align has been renamed to Structural Rebalance. These session will be more interactive than in the past for shared decision making between client and LMT. More orthopedic muscle testing will be done besides the postural and movement assessments that have always been a part of these sessions to pinpoint the muscles that may be weak, overworked, or strained. Available on the massage table, just as before, or on ae mat on the floor incorporating some Thai massage techniques along with active release and structural bodywork techniques.

In the last year, I’ve been busy taking various continuing education classes well beyond the hours required to maintain my massage license. Those classes have been in navigating the nervous system, trauma informed care, oncology massage with breast cancer focus, Thai massage, and advanced prenatal. The advanced prenatal class covered considerations for treating those with medical complications during pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia to name a few. I am always striving to bring the latest advances in bodywork from a evidenced informed lense into my practice to better serve my clients.

I’ll also be credentialed with a handful of health insurance companies in the near future, and be offering insurance billing for those with massage benefits. Hopefully that will be set up to go by the beginning of 2024. Fingers crossed.
