What makes Structural Bodywork sessions different?

Structural Bodywork Sessions are meant to be a series of interactive sessions. They start with movement and postural assessments and orthopedic muscle testing to find areas of the body that have movement restrictions and muscle over and under activity. These can be the basis for frequently reoccuring and chronic pain issues. Finding freedom in movement often leads to longer lasting pain relief. Clients have even reported having more energy. Each session explores muscle and connective tissue movement in an area of the body at a time, and each following sessions builds upon the previous session.

Structural Bodywork Sessions are interactive sessions. They use a combination of active and passive bodywork techniques. Active bodywork techniques use guided movement and breathwork, propreoceptive neuromuscular facilitation, and other active release techniques to safely and effectively increase the resting length of mucles and increase muscular efficiency. Since active techniques engage more of a client’s awareness through active participation, clients gain stronger proceptive and introceptive awareness and more quickly than when only passive techniques are applied.
